Danny Seto

In addition to being a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Clinical Fellow of the American and Canadian Associations of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT/CAMFT), I am also an Approved Supervisor.

I am also a professional member of the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I graduated from Tyndale University in 1999 with a Master of Divinity Degree (with a specialization in Counseling). I also graduated with a Master of Psychology degree from the Adler Graduate Professional School. I am a Certified Play Therapist (currently working on my designation as a Play Therapist Supervisor). I am an EMDR Therapist as well as an EFT Therapist. I am a life-long learner and would consider myself a "professional student". I am pursuing my doctoral degree in clinical psychology.

In addition to being empathetic, I am very understanding and patient. I am very client-centered and am well-versed in a variety of modalities and techniques so that the treatment plan can be catered to your individual needs. I am hoping to help you (and/or your partner/family) in your journey towards wellness by being able to cope with the struggles you may be experiencing. By working with me, I am hopeful that you will be able to draw upon your own experiences (just like I did) in order to bring your life back into homeostasis. Please note: Danny only sees supervisees based on referral. Also waiting list for clients.

Juanna Nguyen

I am a Certified Music Therapist and a Registered Psychotherapist. I joined Danny Seto’s private practice as a practicum student in September 2020 and I completed my placement under his supervision in May 2021. Since June 2021, I have continued at Danny’s practice as an independent contractor. Currently, I am working as a clinic director while continuing to see my own clients. At this moment, I offer virtual individual counselling.

I have experience working with children, adults, couples, and families. I have employed music-based interventions including therapeutic songwriting, music improvisation, and guided meditation with music, followed by verbal processing and reflection. I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach with an interest in mindfulness-based practices and the principle of non-judging. I also have developed an interest in counselling-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Family Systems. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which can aid in alleviating emotional distress.

I believe in providing and facilitating a safe space for others to define and gain insight into their own experiences. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process in which I strive to understand and support my client while we work together to create a plan for therapy.

Justin Lau

Justin is probably your first point of contact at the clinic. Since September, 2020, Justin has been the administrative assistant at the clinic. In addition to scheduling, taking care of intake forms and responding to daily emails, Justin also is responsible for all tech-related issues.

In addition to working at the clinic, Justin is a personal fitness trainer, nutritionist coach, and a junior web designer (he also created this website!). His regular hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - 6 pm (though if you are lucky, you may hear from him on a different date and time!). He can be reached by email at justin@dannyseto.ca

What I believe is more important for you to know about me – beyond any credential, previous education, and experience – is my empathy, non-judgement, and unconditional positive regard. My client-centered focus to therapy creates an opportunity for collaboration, insight, and growth. The needs and concerns of any individual are unique and diverse, and that is why I am more than happy to connect for a 15-minute complimentary telephone consultation for you to learn a bit more about myself and my approach to therapy to find out if it's a right fit for you.

My eclectic approach includes eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy. I have experience working with individuals as well as couples with concerns related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, sleep, intimacy, communication, motivation, and trauma.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO who is also a Masters graduate in Counselling Psychology who has previously completed a Bachelor of Arts (Wilfrid Laurier University) and a Post-Graduate Certificate (Seneca College) which both have provided me with an education in Psychology and Mental Health Interventions. I offer both virtual (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and in-person (Tuesday and Thursday) therapy sessions.

Denise Mariani

I am a Registered Psychotherapist who has been in the field since 2013, and have been practicing psychotherapy since 2017. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of clinical settings, including residential group homes with at risk youth, children’s mental health centres, schools, and private practice clinics in the GTA.  I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. I have engaged in both individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and parental support.  Currently, I work with adults 18+ utilizing a trauma focused lens and holistic approach, centering around the mind-body connection.

Aside from working with clients, I offer clinical supervision to RP’s and RP (Q)’s.  Part of what I love about therapy is that we have the opportunity to connect with so many people and make a difference in their lives. I believe every conversation and interaction allows us to grow, develop an awareness in ourselves and encourages us to be a better version of who we aspire to be.  Supervision offers the same benefits.

I offer a supportive, collaborative, open and safe environment, in both therapy and clinical supervision.  I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities including EMDR, IFS, sensorimotor psychotherapy, ACT, CBT and DBT.  In addition, I incorporate from attachment theory and gender and sexuality studies.  In clinical supervision, I am working along side of you so that together we can feel more confident and satisfied with the work that we do every day. I offer clinical and reflective supervision to those who are seeking to develop and reflect on their practice. I strive to create a supervisory relationship that enables therapists to develop their skills and address their areas for growth.

It takes courage for us to be vulnerable, and vulnerability shows our strength to press on despite being broken. I, like you, have been through a process of rediscovery and I have learned that it is our willingness to seek help that encourages us to move towards a new sense of purpose. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

I empathetically listen and employ a non-judgemental stance to your personal experiences to facilitate a safe space for you to be your authentic self. In using a client-centered and eclectic approach, I ensure that your narrative is valued and supported by conveying compassion, warmth, and respect in our collaborative, therapeutic relationship.

My approach is to meet your unique needs using a variety of interventions. With time and patience, you will be supported with the effective tools that will be tailored towards your treatment plan. I look forward to working together on your therapeutic change, journey of growth, and ongoing healing.
