Danny Seto

In addition to being a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American and Canadian Associations of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT/CAMFT), I am also a Certified Couples and Family Therapist through the Ontario Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (OAMFT). In addition, I am a Certified Play Therapist and Supervisor and an EMDR Therapist.

As a professional “lifelong” learner, I have many designations and years of experience in the healthcare fields as well as in the education of individuals. I am very eclectic in my approach to therapy and approach each client in a unique fashion as I do not believe in the “one-size-fits-all” model.

For those who are interested in receiving supervision and/or consultation, I do offer individual, dyadic, and group supervision where we can discuss your client cases and offer suggestions regarding your clients. In addition, I offer supervision of supervision for supervisors (in which we discuss issues relating to your intern students and supervisees).

Juanna Nguyen

I am a Certified Music Therapist and a Registered Psychotherapist. I joined Danny Seto’s private practice as a practicum student in September 2020 and I completed my placement under his supervision in May 2021. Since June 2021, I have continued at Danny’s practice as an independent contractor. Currently, I am working as a clinic director while continuing to see my own clients. At this moment, I offer virtual individual counselling.

I have experience working with children, adults, couples, and families. I have employed music-based interventions including therapeutic songwriting, music improvisation, and guided meditation with music, followed by verbal processing and reflection. I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach with an interest in mindfulness-based practices and the principle of non-judging. I also have developed an interest in counselling-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Family Systems. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which can aid in alleviating emotional distress.

I believe in providing and facilitating a safe space for others to define and gain insight into their own experiences. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process in which I strive to understand and support my client while we work together to create a plan for therapy.

Justin Lau

Justin is probably your first point of contact at the clinic. Since September, 2020, Justin has been the administrative assistant at the clinic. In addition to scheduling, taking care of intake forms and responding to daily emails, Justin also is responsible for all tech-related issues.

In addition to working at the clinic, Justin is a personal fitness trainer, nutritionist coach, and a junior web designer (he also created this website!). His regular hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - 6 pm (though if you are lucky, you may hear from him on a different date and time!). He can be reached by email at justin@dannyseto.ca

Denise Mariani

I am a Registered Psychotherapist who has been in the field since 2013, and have been practicing psychotherapy since 2017. I have been fortunate to work in a

variety of clinical settings, including residential group homes with at risk youth, children’s mental health centres, schools, and private practice clinics in the GTA.

I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. I have engaged in both individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and parental support.

Currently, I work with adults 18+ utilizing a trauma focused lens and holistic approach, centering around the mind-body connection.

Aside from working with clients, I offer clinical supervision to RP’s and RP (Q)’s.  Part of what I love about therapy is that we have the opportunity to connect with

so many people and make a difference in their lives. I believe every conversation and interaction allows us to grow, develop an awareness in ourselves and

encourages us to be a better version of who we aspire to be.  Supervision offers the same benefits.

I offer a supportive, collaborative, open and safe environment, in both therapy and clinical supervision.  I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities including

EMDR, IFS, sensorimotor psychotherapy, ACT, CBT and DBT.  In addition, I incorporate from attachment theory and gender and sexuality studies.

In clinical supervision, I am working along side of you so that together we can feel more confident and satisfied with the work that we do every day.

I offer clinical and reflective supervision to those who are seeking to develop and reflect on their practice. I strive to create a supervisory relationship that

enables therapists to develop their skills and address their areas for growth.

Life requires us to go through the motions and experience both its hills and valleys. Sometimes we tread through a long and winding road and sometimes we

find ourselves soaking in a glorious mountaintop view. These experiences may leave us in need of a safe haven, support to rediscover and rebuild, or a moment

to catch our breath and process.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). You will find our therapeutic sessions to be a

safe space to be your authentic self as I ensure to actively listen and employ a non-judgmental stance to your personal experiences.

I enjoy using a client-centered and eclectic approach as a foundation to support, value, and respect your narrative. Moreover, empathy, compassion and warmth

would be the pillars of our collaborative, therapeutic relationship. My hope is to equip you with valuable tools tailored to your treatment plan and unique needs.

I look forward to our time together and supporting you on your journey of growth and healing.
