Danny Seto

Registered Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor,  Registered Couples & Family Therapist and Approved Supervisor,   Certified Play Therapist and Supervisor,   Certified EMDR Therapist & Consultant-in-Training

I am an empathic , caring, understanding, and patient individual who works with clients using a person-centered approach. I am well-versed in a variety of modalities, techniques, and strategies so that the clients' treatment plan can be catered to their individual needs. I am destined to help clients in their journey towards healing by being able to cope with the struggles they may be experiencing.

"By working with me, I am hopeful that you will be able to draw upon your own experiences (just like I did) in order to bring your life back into homeostasis."

In addition to being a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist and Supervisor of the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT), a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). In addition, I am a Certified Play Therapist and Supervisor through the Canadian Association of Play Therapy (CAPT) and a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training (EMDRIA).

As a professional “lifelong” learner, I have many designations and years of experience in the healthcare fields as well as in the education of individuals. I am very eclectic in my approach to therapy and approach each client in a unique fashion as I do not believe in the “one-size-fits-all” model.

For those who are interested in receiving supervision and/or consultation, I also offer individual, dyadic, and group supervision as well as consultation services where we can discuss your client cases and offer feedback regarding your clients. In addition, I offer supervision of supervision for supervisors in an individual or group format. This is where we would discuss concerns and issues relating to your interns and/or supervisees.

Mally Harwood

I am currently a student in Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. I will be joining Danny Seto’s practice as a practicum student beginning in September 2025. Additionally, in 2023 I obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in psychology with a minor in neuroscience from Carleton University. Thus, I have completed the necessary coursework/studies to begin my practicum, and now I am looking forward to growing as a counsellor and applying the knowledge I have gained in order to help others.  I have always been passionate about working with and helping people. I believe that connecting with others plays a significant role in our ability to heal and grow as human beings. As such, I gravitate towards a client-centred and strengths-based approach to counselling.

Shruthi Viswanathan

Hello, I’m Shruthi! I am currently a graduate student in the Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy program at the University of Toronto. I have always found meaning in connecting with others and being a source of support during difficult times. Through my work with children, adolescents, and young adults in educational, community, and mental health settings, I've had the privilege of hearing people's stories from diverse backgrounds and witnessing the challenges they navigate every day. I have realised how important it is to feel seen, understood, and supported, and these views continue to shape the way I approach my work as a therapist-in-training. Currently

I serve as a Peer Supporter with the University of Toronto's Health & Wellness Services, where I provide one-on-one emotional support to undergraduate and graduate students. I have supported students as they adjust to university life and navigate the many changes that come with entering a new environment including loneliness, homesickness and other identity transitions. I strive to create space to explore how personal, cultural, academic and social experiences shape a person’s well being compassionately in session.

My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in curiosity and empathy. I am most drawn to drawn to CBT and Internal Family Systems while recognizing that every person brings a unique story, set of strengths and lived experiences. I am experienced and interested in working with concerns related to anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem, cultural identity, immigration experiences, race, and navigating family and societal expectations. As a South Asian Canadian immigrant, I understand the complexities of balancing different cultural identities, managing expectations from family and community, and trying to meet everyone's needs while making space for your own. These experiences have shaped the way I connect with others and inform my commitment to providing culturally sensitive and affirming care. I am especially mindful of the experiences of BIPOC, immigrant, and first-generation clients, while warmly welcoming people from all backgrounds.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood, where we can explore challenges together, build on your strengths, and work toward the changes that matter most to you. Outside of counselling, I enjoy travelling, attending concerts, visiting art museums, learning languages, and photography. I look forward to welcoming and supporting you through your journey!
